this is a really interesting book but the reading quality makes it a slog to get through

Although I am not an expert in Language but more research and effort should have been put into pronunciations of African names. Nassar or Nasir?

This offers a good summary of a vast and fascinating topic. Unfortunately the reading is poorly edited and there are far too many pronunciation errors.

The reader doesn’t know how to read any slightly difficult words (polytheistic, etc) and just makes the pronunciation up. Why not get someone literate to read an audiobook?
