In A Surrendered Heart by award-winning authors Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller, 21-year-old Amanda Broadmoor doesn't want to abandon her mentor Dr. Carstead when cholera strikes Rochester, New York, in 1899. But after the Broadmoor fortune is mishandled, Amanda must sacrifice her lofty aspirations to rescue her family from ruin - even if it means marrying a man she can't stand.©2009 Tracie Peterson & Judith Miller (P)2009 Recorded Books, LLC Historical Fiction Kurgu Romantik

"The characters...come to life and stay with the reader long after the story ends...Faith is interwoven into each character in an understated manner." (Romantic Times)
"The writing styles of Ms. Peterson and Ms. Miller remind me of the Anne of Green Gables stories that I loved." (Romance Designs)

This 3rd in the Broadmoor Legacy focuses on Amanda while still carrying on the story of her cousins as well. At times it is a chilling tale but there are some good spiritual lessons and conclusions made. A different narrator but ok.
