I hated her before I even knew her name.

My bride. The daughter of my enemy. She's nothing more than a part of my revenge.

I'm the one who holds her life in my hands. As well as her body. And soon, her very will. Yet, she refuses to break.

This woman disarms me, not with weapons but with words. And not with a fist, but with a simple kiss. But a match made in hate can have no other ending except war.

This is book one in the Dark & Dirty Vows series which is intended for mature listeners. Welcome to the dark side...

I found this book in catalogue for free and it is very average book with nothing major in it. Heroine is week abused and does not grow within the book. Our antihero is unpleasant bully who is treating her very poorly almost whole book. I liked scenes with his brothers and the HEA it was really nice. Male narrator was great as usual. You can never go wrong when Aiden narrates. Female narrator suits the role but I wasn’t fan of the voice much, but it wasn’t bad so performance is one of few thing which saves this book. I wouldn’t pay for this book but for free it is ok 😊

Bully romance with unpleasant antihero

I really enjoyed the narrators voices and how you’d imagine the characters. I found the story lacking.

Narration was very good, matching character

I loved the narrators' performances. I enjoyed the story and found the FMC to be strong, smart, and interesting. The narrative includes dark elements, and there is great chemistry between the characters.

This was such a deliciously tense, hate-to-love ride. The chemistry between these two? Immediate. Sharp. Crackling. You could feel the friction in every interaction, and I loved how the line between irritation and attraction kept blurring until it was impossible to ignore.

What really worked for me was the balance. It had bite and banter, but it also carried that emotional undercurrent that makes the connection feel real rather than surface-level. The tension simmered beautifully, and when it tipped? Soo…. Worth it.

The audiobook elevated the whole experience. Allie Shae and Aiden Snow narrated this so well, bringing depth, attitude, and heat to the characters. Their performances made the banter sharper and the intimate moments elevated.

I also read the short prequel A Bride to Be Broken. It sets up the story in this book perfectly, and I’d recommend you read it first.
