“There’s gold in them there hills!” ...and something deadly, too.

Danger the likes Boone McCreery has never seen is brewing in the Black Hills. Fresh in from Santa Fe, he’s returned to Deadwood to seek justice for his uncle - and maybe to see about a girl. Little did he know his search for justice would have him stumbling into a hornets’ nest beyond his worst nightmare. One thing is for certain: The trouble he and his compadres chance upon deep in the trees is a long way from ordinary.

Kick up your spurs and enjoy another rip-roaring, wild ride with Boone, Rabbit, Clementine, and Hank in the second book in the Deadwood Undertaker series.

Yes there is a lot of violence but the wild west was a wild place. But if you want something sweet and fluffy I'm sure there's plenty available- like Winnie the Poo maybe. I wouldn't have thought I'd like the 'Buffy Deadwood' combo but it works just this once.

Good stuff

I am really enjoying the the banter between the main characters as well as the thought and detail put into the whole story.

Another good tale

When the ending of a story startled me (so engrossed was I), I take that as a good sign. The adventures of Clementine, Bank and the Sante Fe Sidewinders make for an enjoyable story which was beautifully narrated by Jason Culp.

Wild Creatures and Strange Happenings

Wish there wasn’t so many horrific descriptions of gore. It spoilt it for me.Overdone. Also, it got really repetitive at times, too. Much lazier storyline than first book.

Great characters, too much repetitive graphic gore
