Denton, 1984.

After a morning’s betting at the races, bookmaker George Price is found in his car, barely alive with a bullet in his head. As he’s rushed to hospital, Detective Inspector Jack Frost and the Denton police force start their hunt for the would-be murderer. But with a long list of enemies who might want the bookie dead, the team have got their work cut out for them. And with a slew of other crimes hitting the area, from counterfeit goods to violent drugs gangs swamping Denton with cheap heroin, the stakes have never been higher. Will Frost find the answers he’s looking for before things go from bad to worse?

Although written by a different author (James Henry) from the 4 prequel Frost novels this follows on nicely and retains the usual characters etc.
My only criticism is Frost is not as funny or indeed as slapdash as in the previous books and has infinately more serious persona.
Mullett on the other hand, although not as irritating he is also not as slimey and self promoting, which we've come to expect from him.
A good story, kept my attention which is paramount for an audio book.
Ready for the next one now, but sadly seems to be the last.
Not a bad narration from Crawford Logan.

Good, follows on nicely from the other 4 prequels

Really enjoyed it. Love the characters. It is quirky and nostalgic of it's era. Deals with difficult issues well.

Really enjoy the series.

Good storyline, typical likeable Jack Frost, the narrator Crawford Logan wasn't in my opinion suited to Touch of Frost storylines.

Not one of my favourites

Not for me, wont get another. Jumps from one scenario to another with no link and I just got lost. Tries to be too clever and ended up losing me. Well read.

Disjointed
