A dangerous mercenary. A runaway vampire. A hunger neither can resist.

Aria Valienne spent her life under the iron rule of a vampire clan that sees mercy as weakness. Now hunted, wounded, and desperate for freedom, she flees into the wild—only to be found by a hardened mercenary with sharp eyes and an even sharper blade. Roan should be just another danger in a world that seeks to devour her, yet something about the woman makes Aria hesitate… and hunger.

Roan Talrik knows better than to get involved. She's spent years selling her sword, keeping her past buried, and her heart untouched. Helping a runaway vampire is a mistake—one that should have ended the moment Aria could stand on her own. And yet, every night by the fire, every stolen glance, every quiet confession sinks its teeth into Roan's resolve.

When the shadows catch up to them, will they survive the hunt—or will they be forced to sacrifice everything for a love they never meant to find?

A Hunger Soft and Wild is a standalone steamy sapphic vampire romantasy with a full arc and an HEA. It's part of an interconnected world, but can be enjoyed on its own. Some tropes include slow burn; hurt/comfort; touch her and die vibes; only soft for her; one bed; and butch/femme.

I really enjoyed this! And I tandem read with the audiobook, what a duo that was. Kingsley and Allie did a brilliant job with the story. I’m really looking forward to book two! I love a sapphic vampire series, especially when it’s something that feels different! This was definitely that!

Highly recommend this book and the audiobook.

Written in first person with 2x POV’s. Narrated by Allie Shae and Kingsley Rose. Book One in the Her Fangs in My Heart series. Sapphic, Vampire/Human, Butch/Femme, Hurt/Comfort, Slow Burn, Forced Proximity, Touch Her & Die, One Bed. 2x Spicy Scenes.

Such a brilliant narrator combo!! 👏🏻👏🏻

I LOVED IT. ♥️
This is a fantastic story, a beautiful slow burn romance between a vampire and a mercenary.
Both are wary, cautious and alone.
Together they are stronger, drawn together through compassion to help the other.
They both find peace, comfort and safety together, and love follows.
This is an emotional journey they explore together, on this dangerous road.
EXCELLENT NARRATION. 🎶
Both narrators are a pure joy to listen to, together they make this fab story. 💯

EXCELLENT. 💯

Good concept but so many opportunities to flush the story out missed. Forgot most of the time Aria was a vampire. 'I told her about the court and she told.me about her life' tells the reader nothing. The narrators were the only reason this wasn't a TDF.

I purchased this book due to Allie Shae's post on her IG. The book was mediocre, nothing stood out most and there are far better plot available at AO3 than this one. No interesting fighting match/encounters, being a vampire no interesting powers aside from the ability to walk in the sun. The romance is nothing spectacular as well, or maybe I was expecting more fascinating concepts that may arise in the story, but NADA. This is my first time listening to the other narrator and it was such a disappointment and almost have me stop listening. The gasping narration, and the intonation of each word throughout the sentence is somewhat unbearable. It maybe personal because I saw other people liking her, but it did nothing to me. If it weren't for Allie's performance I might have dropped this book from the 4th chapter. Sorry, if it's mean to write this review, but it might help with the creative process for improving their craft and for people to have idea before purchasing it.
