In A Fatal Winter, Max Tudor - Anglican priest, former MI5 agent, and village heartthrob - investigates two deaths at Chedrow Castle. But his growing attraction to Awena Owen complicates his case, as does the recent arrival at Chedrow Castle of a raucous group of long-lost, greedy relatives, any one of whom has a motive for murder. With a cozy setting, intricate puzzles, and a handsome (non-celibate) priest doing the sleuthing, the books in this series are destined to become instant classics in the mystery world.

I fell in love with Max and his sleuthing from the first book. A beautiful dream of what the church could and indeed should be while the actual adventure is stunning. Also the side story is a thing of beauty and I am in love with the characters. Please do listen to these books in order as the arch is so beautifully written it would be sad to jump into it half way through.
The narrator is wonderful, I cannot fault his performance, and even the intro music sets the scene for this book.
All in all I can't fault this book or indeed the series.

Kept me gripped all the way through. It is really good to listen to a voice.

Although several murders take place it remains a gentle story with eccentric characters on every page. Every church should have a vicar like the hero of this book.

A gentle murder!

Too many errors to be English, in the text and the readers pronunciation. I love Agatha Christie, Agatha Raisin, Father Brown etc..this does not come close.

Not authentic enough to be English
