From international best-selling author Stuart Thaman:

The world of Wonder has been thrown into chaos. Servers crashed, cities are in disarray, and death is permanent. Amidst all the upheaval, a new dungeon is growing.

Undercroft Citadel.

Ben Hales stands on the front lines, sword in hand, ready to continue his dark work. With an army of the dead and the blessing of a goddess, he’ll bring more fire and brimstone to Wonder than the game has ever known.

You thought the rollercoaster ride was over from the first book. Surely it will settle down a bit now, oh no strap yourself in...

Be ready for twists and turns, expect to be surprised and misdirected repeatedly throughout.
For the life of me I couldn't guess where all of this was heading.

Performance is a triumph again with even more characters and still all distinct.

I received a free copy of this audiobook. I have submitted this unbiased review of my own volition.

Somehow better than the first one!

If you like LItRPG, then you’ll like this! A great story with a dark storyline instead of the usual hero adventure.
It’s full of action, magic and dark deeds.
If I’m honest, it doesn’t feel as gritty as I expect from GrimDark, but there’s no denying he’s a nasty fellow!
As always, Scott’s narration is great. He makes it so easy to listen to with great character differentiations and some great voices too!
Highly recommend and will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next instalment!
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.

The story was ok I suppose, but not the best, It got a little slow towards the end and began to drag . The last 10 mins if the book was just stupid I hate things like that so annoying. I will probably get the next book as I want to know the outcome but let's hope it's a little less boring.

Once again we dive into the evil empire of Ben Hales, the story continues quite well, if with a few too many last minute saves, unlikely surprises and plain stupid tactical errors on both sides of the field.

The ending is kind of over the top, but we shall see what book 3 holds.

Narration is good if not amazing, but pacing is very good and characters are well-separated.

decent follow up of book 1
