I don't do relationships. Not since my ex-wife set me up to be cavity searched and robbed me blind.

My world is a perfect balance of working and hunting.

There is nothing I love more than the thrill of the kill. I've never been more focused. I've never been more content. Nothing can distract me from my goals and my purpose.

Until her.

A chance encounter with my little neurodivergent fireball has my world spinning off its axis. She looks like easy prey. The men hunting in my club certainly thought so. What they weren't counting on was me lurking in the shadows.

What started as any other kill quickly turned into nothing short of an obsession.

She doesn't know I watch her when she's home alone.

She doesn't know what I am.

Not yet.

She will soon realise that the safest place on earth is in the arms of a killer.

Sweet Appraisal by Shauna Richmond is a must-listen. Incredible narration, gorgeous writing, and characters I couldn't stop thinking about. The emotional tension was chef's kiss and the romance delivered on every level.
Finished it in 2 days. Buying the books so I can annotate my favorite lines and read book two. I highly recommend this book!

This was phenomenal i was giggling kicking my legs and sad at times reading this but was such a good storyline i felt it had dark humour and sarcasm and just had so many good things about it all. I felt connected to katie sometimes in ways while reading it and Aj was just brilliant as well everything youd want or well at least I want haha

My honest opinion

I didn’t know what to expect from this audio having stumbled upon the book and some snippets of audio. The writing and characters feel real, the world is familiar, yes the plot is outlandish and extreme but it is housed in a frame of reality that sucks you in. Katie is narrated by Kay Lennox who does an amazing job giving Katie her sass and edge while also being vulnerable. The MMC AJ gives is an insane but loveable psycho, you just can’t blame Katie for falling for him. There are very few lulls in the plot and the last few chapters really ramp it up. I had a great time and will definitely check out the author again.

Now that’s a Dark Romance
