I took her innocence as payment. She was far too young and naïve to be betrothed to a monster like me.

I would bring only pain and darkness into her sheltered world. That's why she ran.

I should've just let her go. She never asked to marry into a powerful Russian mafia family. None of this was her choice.

Unfortunately for her, I don't care. I own her, and after three years of searching, I've found her. My runaway bride was about to learn disobedience has consequences...punishing ones.

Having her in my arms and under my control had become an obsession. Nothing was going to keep me from claiming her before the eyes of God and man.

She's finally mine now, and I'm never letting her go.

I finished the book but I found it hard to get through, mainly because the female narrator has a bit of a Disney princess voice. I think shes probably really good for cheerful books. It’s really hard to experience the extreme angst the character goes through when she sounds like a Bambi type cartoon character. She did not land sincerity once. Criticism should be for the producers not the artist. It’s just a terrible match.

Darker than the average

If you like a sexy rough and ready guy then this is the story for you. This story has spanking, sizzling chemistry and a smoking-hot Russian mafia Alpha. If you like all these things then you’ll love this. The story is well written, the chemistry is off the charts and the characters are loveable. I’m not moving on to book two.
The narrators get 5⭐️

Smoking Hot Russian Mafia 🔥❤️

I like Zoe Blake’s books when I venture away from my normal genre of thrillers and mystery. Not so much into mafia themes though. However if it’s a good story and a compelling suspense, I still enjoy to try out new stories.

Out of my genre but enjoyed it
