Raine Kendall has been in love with her boss, Macen Hammerman, for years. Determined to make the man notice that she's a grown woman with desires and needs, she pours out her heart and offers her body to him, only to be crushingly rejected. But when his friend, very single, very sexy Liam O'Neill watches the other Dom refuse to act on his obvious feelings for Raine, he resolves to step in and do whatever it takes to help Hammer find happiness again, even rousing his friend's possessive instincts by making the girl a proposition too tempting to refuse. But he never imagines that he'll end up falling for her himself. Hammer has buried his lust for Raine for years. After rescuing the budding runaway from an alley behind his exclusive BDSM Dungeon, he has come to covet the pretty submissive. But tragedy has taught him that he can never be what she needs. So he watches over her while struggling to keep his distance. Liam's crafty plan blindsides Hammer, especially when he sees how determined his friend is to possess Raine for his own. Hammer isn't ready to give the lovely submissive over to any other Dom, but can he heal from his past and fight for her? Or will he lose Raine if she truly gives herself-heart, body, and soul-to Liam?

I loved this set of books, this is 1 of 4 and I couldn’t get enough of them. Lots of kink and steamy scenes to make you blush!

I like that there was enough spice but also a good storyline to sink into.

The plot

The story itself wasn’t bad at all , the only problem I do have is with the narration I actually think there should have been THREE narrators not ONE. Christian Fox was excellent as usual but he should have had help as there were three main characters.

Not bad

With two Doms fighting for the girl, it’s a tough place to be!! This is a great book with a gripping situation. A brilliant performance.

Spoilt for choice

I was hoping for a thrupple, but it seems that it's a love triangle & ain't nobody got time for that (not my cuppa)

The heroine is an entitled brat who committed sexual assault & then acts like the wounded party.

Going down on someone, be it a man or a woman, without their express consent, when they're asleep is SA, no 2 ways about it!

& I always dispair when I encounter this type of narratives in books or IRL... just because you have feelings for someone, it does not entitle you to reciprocity... no one is obliged to love you, only your parents are...

As far as I can see Macen has done plenty for the ungrateful wench over the years, including keeping her safe from other doms, when she's clearly not ready to be be a sub... yet she kinda throws it all back in his face because he stops her SA...

She wants to be a sub yet doesn't submit... make it make sense!

I only realised that it's 4 parts once I started & it seems that Liam is foolishly going to throw his friendship with Macen down the drain for a pretty face & that's all kinds of F'd up...

I have no idea why one man is into her, let alone 2... she's beyond immature & a petulant brat & so far, the only clue I've gotten is that she's apparently pretty & that's about it 🤷‍♀️

DNF, a really unlikeable heroine
