Penny’s ex refused to accept that it was over between them.

Unwilling to live in fear, she hired an alpha to protect her, but she hadn’t realized it would mean allowing him into her home.

Doubt began to take hold until she discovered her ex was still stalking her. She wasn’t going to let him dictate her life, so she pushed on as usual…Until she was attacked and dragged into a waiting van.

Ethan was supposed to protect Penny, but he’d failed. The chair he was tied to wouldn’t stop him, and neither could the laws placed on his dynamic. Her ex wasn’t going to survive long enough to regret his choices, but the drugs he’d given Penny were sending her into heat, and Ethan couldn’t leave her to suffer alone.

How much was he going to pay for breaking the laws governing alphas, and would their bond survive?

This one wasn’t quite as good as book one but the narrator was better.
I enjoyed the plot but it was a little slower than I expected. This is a slow burn and has more of a connection between the main characters rather than a lust filled haze. There is also more character history in this book.

Not as spicy as book one
