Turnabout is fair play. Tavi Mirza has been operating under that principle for a few months now, but both he and his brother Rex are keenly aware they can’t avoid the consequences of their actions forever. Sooner or later, the facade will crumble, and when someone ultimately finds out their secret, Tavi’s life will be over. The fates have converged to ensure that the twins don’t remain untouched by its claws, and they must determine where their true loves and loyalties lay. Can Tavi and Rex protect each other? Or will they allow the past to dictate the future instead of moving forward together?

Please note: This is not a stand-alone and should be listened to after Want, the first book in The Need Trilogy, and Take, the second in the series. This dark taboo tale contains several kinks that may offend or trigger some listeners, including (but not limited to) age play, ABDL, spanking, and humiliation. Not every dynamic or element is 100 percent consensual. Though The Need Trilogy is set in The Fate of the Fallen world, the trilogy can be listened to separately from the series and other books. The main characters do not (yet) appear in the other series, and there are minimal spoilers for the series or other books set in the universe.

Have by R. Phoenix might just be my favorite of the 3 books in this trilogy. This was just as dark and twisted as the previous books, as expected, and it is the perfect ending to this series. As with books 1 and 2, Kenneth Obi shines in book 3. I listened to all three of the books back to back, which is the first time I have every listened to a trilogy all at once and I think I was even more impressed, because the characters voices didn’t change at all over the three books. It was as if he recorded them all at once, which is amazing because I have listened to other narrators who find it hard to not switch or change the voices in the same book, much less over 3 of them, so major kudos for that. Rex and Tavi have come so far from who they were when we first met them in book 1 and I have enjoyed both the progression of their relationship, but also how much each of them has had to change and/or sacrifice to have it.

If you have never listened to a dark and twisty book, then be forewarned that this series is whole lot of both, but perhaps, Kenneth Obi’s narration will help change your mind. It certainly did for me. Dark and twisty for the win.

A perfect conclusion to this taboo trilogy

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the 3 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

as good as the ebook

Marvelous! I'm kicking myself for abandoning R. Phoenix's dark and delightful Need Trilogy, shame on me lol. Last week I read Take and knew I couldn't wait to finish up this story. R. Phoenix puts their uniquely twisted spin on these themes and I loved every naughty bit of it.

The audio version of Have is beautifully performed by the wonderful Kenneth Obi, whose talent is greatly missed.

Dark and Marvelous! Wonderful Performance by K Obi
