His name is Maxen Ashley Colchester, and he swore a duty to his country. Then, he swore his heart to them.

They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny extra stitch sewn into his future since birth. And here Ash is, President of the United States, a king who was foolish enough to build his kingdom on the bones of the past. His sins are no longer secret. His flaws have never been more fatal. And he's never been closer to tragedy than he is now.

After losing Embry, their vice president, their prince, Ash and First Lady Greer must not only run for re-election without the man they love, but against him. Yet even political rivalry and the threat of war cannot unravel the years of fire and longing that tie the three of them together, no matter what that bond might cost them. Their country, their careers, their lives―it's all at risk now. Ash knows love was always meant to be the end of their story: his, Embry's, and Greer's. He just hadn't realized it might be the end of them, too.

Long live the king.

"You know that feeling you get when you're reading and you're kind of....how do I put this? Soaring? Like you're reading the words and you feel like you're in front of an orchestra that's being conducted masterfully? And your heart gets...like 'literally'....a centimeter higher in your chest? Well, this book had all that."—CD Reiss, New York Times bestselling author

"An epic masterpiece from one of the most talented authors in romance—or anywhere. The New Camelot Trilogy is easily 2017's most essential read."—Ella James, USA Today bestselling author

I listened to the series over three days and I have to confess that I got a bit bored of hearing the story over and over again from everyone's point of view, but at last I was delighted to see that it all tied in beautifully in the end to make the series finally show why it was called the Camelot series, as I am a true Camelot legend fan. Well done! It won’t, however, be a re-read for me.

The narration was incredible and please, Rex Rhys, narrate more books!

Phew!

I have never cried so much with any other book I've listened to.

Ash's chapter (28) was so gut wrenching that from the moment he started talking I was blubbing.

This was the perfect ending to the trilogy and I'm so glad Abilene got her comeuppance, what a nasty piece of work.

This book nearly broke me.
