Have You Been Chosen?

Sawyer Smith is preparing to take on the world, and with his graduate degree only days away, he’s hoping to convince his gorgeous best friend and neighbor to come along for the ride. There’s only one problem; Draco has a secret, a big scaly secret, and it’s about to change Sawyer’s life forever.

When three mysterious men move into the new mansion across the street, Sawyer is plunged into a fantastical world he never knew existed. Discovering that Draco is a dragon shifter and a guardian of The Chosen One - a creature sent by the Goddess to restore the realm’s broken magic - is only the tip of the paranormal iceberg.

Being drawn into this strange new world is challenging enough, but then Sawyer finds himself attracted to all The Chosen One’s guardians: not only Draco, but also quiet and fierce vampire Andvari, sweet mage Henry, and ruthlessly smart griffin Eduard.

And, oh yeah, it turns out not all magical creatures are friendly. Forces aligned against The Chosen One are out to destroy the guardians so the prophecy can never be fulfilled.

The biggest problem of all, though, is that once The Chosen One is found, Sawyer will have to return to his boring human life...alone.

But in the paranormal world, there are no half measures. As danger mounts, Sawyer must choose between walking away from the men he’s grown to care for or risking it all for a chance at a future together.

I really enjoyed the start of this poly/harem romance, which I am a fan of and the audio gave it extra life.

it's a classic newbie into the world which is how we learn about everything, along with the 'chosen one' troupe if done slightly different but I overall enjoyed the way the romance between the five main characters get started even if it is insta-love

great start to a series

So many characters, mysteries, dangers and new moments! I didn't think things would be revealed so quickly but on the other hand so many things are still a mystery!! I'm completely hooked and so intrigued by what could happen next!!

These 5 men are so different but work well together and their passions are off the charts! I have no idea what's going to happen next but I can't wait to find out!!!

Fantastic and thrilling opener!

This was a great first book in this paranormal series. Though there is a prequel, it is not necessary to read/listen to that one to get into this one, and this one is VERY different (read: a lot more sex between multiple partners). I would say this book is about 30% relationship building and advancing the story, and 70% sex/orgy. (Very much NC-17, IMO). The sex scenes are very erotic and HOT, but if you aren't into that, you may find yourself skimming over a lot of the audio. I really enjoyed the relationship building between the characters, as they learn about and fall in love with each other. We learn more about the prophecy of the Chosen One and his guardians. There are attacks and a pretty serious ambush/battle. There are a few major surprises as a new guardian is added to the three introduced in the prequel, and they all wait for The Chosen One. (Just as a footnote, if you had questions about Henry's pack and where all the children came from, Mrs. Foot, the mage, etc. from the prequel, none of that is picked up here.)

Michael Dean's narration is fantastic. He is really good with the deep, sexy, seductive voices of the guardians, as well as Henry's younger persona.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

As always Michael Dean did and outstandig job in giving voice to all the characters. While listening to this volume I noticed extra how hot and heavy and high heat this book actually is. Start of their relationship is very physical. This is the setup the further introduction to the Chosen one and his mates/ protectors.
Narration 5* Story 4,5 Overall 5*

Heat, heat and more heat for the mates.

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the AUDIO version of this book.

This is the book in The Chosen One series. There is a prequel to this, but that's not rally necessary to read/listen before this one. It gives you Henry's back story, is all. And that book in no way prepares you for this one!

Cos let me tell ya, this book grabs you and does not let up!

Sawyer lives next door to Draco, and is in love with Draco, even if Draco doesn't return that love. The mansion that gets built up the hill pulls their attention, and once Draco and Sawyer meet Henry, Eduard and Andvari? Things unravel rapidly!

While we get to know Eduard (a Griffin) Andvari (vampire) Draco (dragon) Henry (a mage) and Sawyer (a human) we hear about the Prohecy and what the roles of the Guardians are. Only 4 are here, but Henry sees the other 4 coming soon.

They need to figure out who the Chosen One is, but also why someone keeps trying to kill Sawyer.

There are some surprises along the way!

The relationships between all 5 men moves fast, and very quickly they are all together, in so much smexy times, I swear, I needed a fan! I would say a good 75% of this book is smexy times, and I bloody loved it!

I loved how Draoc's dragon reacts, once he realises who Sawyer is to him, and Henry too. I loved how protective the guys are of Sawyer and Henry. Very Alpha male, but loved it!

Michael Dean narrates this series.

I love the narration! The voices for each os the guys are perfect for each of them, subtle accents denoting their different upbringings.

Dean gets over all the emotions of the guys, during the smexy times, yes. But equally the feelings they have for each other as they start to grow closer, and when they talk about what being a Guardian means to them.

The man could read the phone book, and I'd listen, I really would. Fast becoming my most favourite narrator, ever!

5 stars for the book
5 stars for the narration
5 oh-so-smexy stars overall!

grabs you and does not let go!
