Brock, a powerful telekinetic, is desperate for peace, and his rest is long overdue after a year of fighting for the United Militarized Front, the last remaining hope against the dead. But the undead are unpredictable, and his humble mountain retreat is no fortress. Soon, he’s forced from his home and travels to Deep Vale, Texas in search of respite, grumbling all the way. Upon his arrival, the dreamy post-apocalyptic town is not all that it seems.

Brock’s latest decisions have created a mess of things, and his next will most likely do the same. And the surviving townsfolk look to him for answers nonetheless.

In the middle of the apocalypse, school is still in session. Brock is at the helm of a group of survivors, and with the herd gone, things were supposed to be looking up. Unfortunately, the survivors learn that hope has a price, and in their uncertainty they look to Brock to lead them once again.
