Sherlock Holmes, legendary sleuth of Victorian London, is asked to authenticate the work of what appears to be a long-lost Shakespearean play. Alas, just as the famed detective is about to announce his conclusion, the manuscript is stolen. As Sherlock and his trusted sidekick, Dr. John Watson, begin to unravel the mystery of the missing play, their investigation leads them on a convoluted but logical path. But the closer they come to the missing play, the more their lives are endangered.

When Sherlock Holmes joins his sidekick and friend, Doctor Watson, at the wake for Brigadier Buffington, they wonder how Buffington acquired a lost Leonardo da Vinci painting. And, after a curious incident or two, another question arises: Did Buffington die of natural causes? Or was he murdered?

Something's stalking the streets of London's West End. People are dying, and all signs point to a killer of unfathomable strength and brutality. On the night of the full moon, Doctor John Watson is called upon to save a colleague who's been brutally attacked by what appears to have been a pack of wild dogs. As his friend succumbs to his wounds, his dying words seem to implicate a "wolf man." Confused, Dr. Watson turns to his good friend for help.
