Eryka Danek finds herself alone when a strange storm erupts, destroying her village and killing all its inhabitants, including her parents. The dark lord, Alazais Moorlange, upon hearing in his mind the reciting of a sacred rune ritual, conjures a vision and sees his next conquest. Eryka unwittingly falls under the enchanter's spell, but it is not strong enough to thwart an intervention by a vengeful ghost. Will Alazais' powers rule, enabling him to keep this innocent? A thousand years in the past, Chelsey and Damien have freed Giselle and Gaddeon from Moorlange's evil curse. It is soon discovered their journey is not over and that they, along with the reunited lovers, must face the vile wizard one last time, together, to put an end to his malevolence.  

Time travelers Chelsey and Damien returned from the past safely, only to discover their world in utter chaos. The ensuing apocalypse consumed all, and life as they knew it no longer existed. Together, with Quinn, Neva, and the children, they have no refuge, except possibly the mysterious Kinsley estate. The only means of passage are their bound protectors - the dragons. Upon returning to Scotland, they find no sanctuary at the estate. Forced to flee, they go back to the infamous stronghold - Dragamere.
