An organization called The Direction is trying to fix humanity's "flaws."Religion is banned because it sparks division.

History is rewritten because the truth is dangerous.

Using an advanced AI called APA (Automated Personal Assistant) to analyze and decide how people live their lives... or not live them... the totalitarian group controls everything.

When those close to her who secretly embrace and share Christianity begin to die or disappear, 25-year-old Lila blames God. At first, she thinks that her friends and family should have kept silent and just lived the lives they were assigned.

That quickly changes when The Direction decides that Lila does not belong in society anymore. A soldier from the organization’s Defense Industry shows up at her doorstep, but instead of being there to collect her, he claims that God called him to save her.

Despite her rescuer’s conviction, Lila continues to struggle with animosity toward God as she escapes and ends up joining an underground movement. Guided by their confident, prayerful leader, the group has a goal: Bring down The Direction. Bring freedom to everyone.

But can Lila and the others navigate their way through a world filled with death and despair to embrace faith and hope?
