The Cerythian Chronicles

Some history stays buried for a reason. When Declan Riley uncovers a secret that has been sealed away for five hundred years, it leads him and his best friend to the edge of something no one was ever meant to find - a staircase into the dark, and a sprawling world hidden far beneath his own. Below, a vast city glows against the black. It's beautiful. It's impossible. And it's nothing like the wonder they imagined. Within hours the two boys are swept into a desperate rescue, a city teetering on the brink, and a danger that wants them silenced before they can ever climb back into the light. Now, lost in a world that was never supposed to exist, Declan and his friend are running for their lives, and the only way home is straight through everything trying to stop them. The deeper they go, the darker the truth becomes. And the question isn't just whether they'll make it out. It's what's waiting to follow them up.
