Telepaths

Can a mortal escape a prenatal curse? A psychic vampire blunders into the wrong territory. Now she must elude enemies she never imagined! And that curse: Does the Devil really own her soul?

Telepaths use the souls they pursue; they may seem friendly and helpful, or selfish, and sometimes cruel. For some of us, it's a good thing. For others, well, they bring it on themselves, for better or worse. Some people are born users, and you can guess how telepaths love to use them. There are contests on right now for the souls of the good and bad, the beloved and loveless. All in the heart of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.

Why are the so-called street people disappearing from the banks of the Chemung River? And why doesn't anybody seem to care? Somebody does care, and they round up "volunteers" who are specially gifted to help them bring the hidden murderer to justice. The Telepaths have set their sights on Elmira! The little city in upstate New York will never be the same again. Will you be recruited?

There's a serial killer loose, moving from state to state. He prefers naïve young women. He must be stopped before his abilities can be enhanced by Luciel, the Evil One. And so, Augusta is once again summoned by the Telepaths. She's okay with that, but why do they want her daughters, too?

Adelaide and Clement have one more meeting, courtesy of the Telepaths. This time they are accompanied by older accomplices, and it is more of a showdown than a courtesy call. The Telepaths, too, have new allies, and ulterior motives are evident from the get-go. Who will succeed, and what if everyone does? Well, nearly everyone.

The Telepaths were not finished with Erwyn and Clement Green, fortunately for them. But they were the jerks that handed the Greens over to the Aliens! So what gives? A trip back in time for them both, courtesy of Marian's discarded Gift of Need. How can two convicted criminals survive in the wilds of Pre-Columbian New England? Not easily, as it turns out.
