Steve Cline Mysteries

At Risk Summary

Steve Cline’s first mistake is taking a job he’s told he’s too young to handle. His second is surviving a crime he was never meant to escape. Set in Maryland’s rich horse country, At Risk introduces a stubborn, capable young horseman determined to prove himself. Before dawn one morning, Steve is hijacked along with several valuable horses. What looks like a simple theft soon reveals a conspiracy far more dangerous that puts him squarely in the crosshairs of a killer who doesn’t tolerate loose ends.

At Risk is the first book in the Steve Cline Mystery Series, a character-driven crime series set inside the rarely seen world of elite horse farms and racing stables. As Steve survives his first encounter with corruption and violence, he learns that proving himself may come at a higher cost than he ever imagined.
