After a horde of the living dead ravaged the town of New Haven, Eddie and his band of road-weary survivors escape only to return to the road and head up the coast. The Caulfields remain steadfast, determined more than ever to stand their ground against the living dead. Sheriff Davis and a small group of survivors sit trapped in a holding cell, facing an almost-certain doom. Ben, a serial killer left for dead on a rooftop, reanimates with a score to settle. Scientists in the Mount Weather Special Facility have discovered that there's more to the living dead than reanimated flesh.
