Magus Reborn

Kai of the Sorcerer's Tower was one of the last Mages left, barely surviving in a world contaminated with dead mana and ruled by creatures of the dark. To save his world and fulfill his master's last wish, he puts himself through a forbidden ritual, risking his soul being ripped into pieces to make his way into the past, to a golden era with abundant mana. But things go wrong. He overshoots and finds himself in an ancient time thousands of years earlier, within the body of a young lord named Arzan.

Kai had survived the treacherous Mage trying to kill him in his own house. But new enemies loom over the horizon. Having increased his personal strength and taking control over the City of Veralt, Kai had just began to learn the ropes of being a noble lord when trouble knocks on his door. Summoned by the Archine Tower that may or may not be the one trying to kill him, he moves to the capital with his trusted subordinates to dip his toe in the muddy waters of capital politics. To make matters worse, a beast wave threatens to crush over his city.

Kai had defeated the beast wave and had been promoted to Count. But problems don't seem to end for him. Not only did he have to fend off the nobles interested in his mana cannons and gain control over his newfound territory, he also had been invited to Sylvastra, the lands of the elves who call him the Fatebreaker to meet the Elder Tree.
