The world changed the day the rifts happened. Trolls, elves, and other races from fantasy and myth emerged into a modern world, bringing magic with them. The world governments worked to segregate these new arrivals into refugee camps, which eventually became the nation of De’Vas. A nation of paranormals.

Ash has settled into his new life as the boss of District 114, but discord lies ahead. A new wave of rifts occupies the council, and powerful foes seek revenge on his ally.

Not long ago, Ash learned he has a monster living inside him… Now he’s counting down the days and preparing for the inevitable encounter when the elemental is set free. Still, Ash has a District to protect and tasks given to him by the Nightmare Queen. One such task leads to the discovery of a strange device and a tattooed goblin who knows its secrets. As Ash and his friends work to unravel the mystery, some of those close to him experience reunions with old enemies. While sins and memories of Vas haunt District 114, the Coalition emerges from the shadows and sets its sights on Ash.

Ash was an exile when he first arrived in De’Vas… Since then, he has endured hardships and trials, growing the strength of both himself and his district to survive. He found friends and lovers in his new life, all while building a home. Then the Coalition took him away from all that, casting him into a strange new world, one he had only heard about in stories told by those in De’Vas. Ash needs to find a way back home, back to his friends and loved ones, no matter what it takes.
