Blitzkrieg Alternate

Following a year and a half of international tensions and demands from the aggressive Fuhrer of the German Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, Poland is invaded by the German Third Reich, triggering the start of the Second World War. German armies advance over the border and smash Polish forces with their Panzer forces and their powerful Luftwaffe, while the Soviet Union watches with glee, eventually joining into the spil by launching an invasion of its own.

September 1st, 1939. Germany invades Poland, igniting a major European war. A few months later, the French are also invaded, and the allied armies are utterly defeated. Then the Dunkirk disaster happens, and the United Kingdom loses most of its land army. Soon, the British Isles are also attacked, and the British are hard-pressed with a serious German invasion. The French struggle to resist the Axis forces bent on conquering all of their mainland home country and West African colonies.

The Second World War is raging across Europe. The Axis reign supreme from the United kingdom to Gibraltar, and all the way to Baghdad, while the Allied nations of the USA, Free France and the United Kingdom gather their strength for their counter-offensive. Germany and the Soviet Union, battling each other on the Eastern Front since the Red Army attacked the year before, are about to embark on the biggest war in human history.
