Insane Asylums: A Detailed Synopsis Of Their History And Mistreatment Of Patients (Psychopath, Sociopath, Mental Illness, Personality Disorders, Mental Health, Insanity Book 3) Özet

Horror stories of fiction have nothing on the history of psychology, asylums, and the treatment of mentally ill individuals. This book will take you through the various historical treatments for patients suffering from a mental illness. It will highlight the first thoughts surrounding mental disorders and mental disabilities, including how they were thought to be cured with some untenable treatments. Not only will this book show how being afraid of the unknown can lead to assumptions and horrific treatments, it will also show how killers could be loose running the grounds of asylums and killing other patients, or worse: how some psychopaths could be in charge of the facilities. There is one theme that runs throughout this entire book. It is a theme that has yet to be stamped out completely in the name of psychological treatment. Enjoy the chilling tales and discover if as a society we are truly any more civilized today than our ancestors of the BCE era.
