The Bridegroom Cometh At Midnight Series

Secret raves have taken root in the mountains above Loveland, Colorado, dark, drug-fueled gatherings that lure the young and restless. What begins as forbidden entertainment quickly turns deadly. Attendees return marked with strange tattoos and piercings. Then some of them, those who disobeyed Imam Mahdi die from a flesh-eating infection medical science struggles to stop. Curse or plague, the pattern is unmistakable. Dr. Katurah Kat Rossi, a hospitalist, is one of the first to connect the dots. The more she investigates, the clearer it becomes that something far darker is at work. At the center of the chaos stands a mysterious figure known as the Messiah, or Imam Mahdi. He claims to be the fulfillment of prophecy for Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus, and Buddhists alike. He speaks every language, performs signs that silence skeptics, and builds a growing army of devoted followers. Kat soon discovers that Imam Mahdi's influence reaches deeper than the raves. A sophisticated tracking chip, a network of compromised professionals, and a string of suspicious deaths all point to a calculated plan. When the danger moves from the mountains into her own hospital and then toward her family, Kat realizes she can no longer remain a silent observer. What begins as a medical mystery becomes a spiritual battle. As the signs of the last days unfold around her, Kat must decide how far she will go to protect those she loves and whether anyone can unmask the deception before it consumes everything.
