Accidental Engagement

Charles Bentley was always due to inherit his late father’s fortune, and he loved to boast about it. He was the typical son of privilege with more money than sense and an appetite for partying that was rarely satisfied - although he did try his hardest. With no plans of settling down, but every intention of the getting the money, a plan forms in his head. Jane Miller’s world is turned on its head when Charles asks her to marry him.

Charles Bentley has been left with the task of planning a wedding on his own, while also fending off his uncle’s attempts to find out that the marriage is a sham. He’s under pressure, and all he wants to know is where his wife-to-be has run off to. Jane didn’t tell anyone where she went, but it was clear enough for all to know that she didn’t want to be followed. 

With the wedding preparations fully underway, Jane is feeling rather overwhelmed by it all. She has no choice but to help with certain parts of the organization, and she has to do the one thing that she never had anticipated she would do; try on wedding dresses. What some might have perceived as one of their greatest days out, Jane was dreading it as though it were a dark day for her. Charles can’t wait to get through the day and get it over and done with.

Charles and Jane have finally said I do and are off on their honeymoon. However, neither is looking forward to spending time with the other. Jane has plans to spend as much time away from Charles as possible on this trip. All of her hopes and dreams come crashing to a halt when a blizzard hits, stranding her and Charles at the airport. But will spending the night alone in a hotel room together be too much temptation for the sexual tension that has slowly been building since their fated kiss?

With their one year deadline quickly approaching Jane and Charles have to decide if they are going to stay married or get divorced. However, when Jane becomes pregnant their simple arrangement becomes very complicated. Jane had always been told she could never get pregnant, making this baby a miracle to her. Charles had always been adamant about not having children. With his own childhood, he always believed he would make a terrible father, just like his own. Will their marriage survive a baby or will it finally be what forces Jane and Charles to face reality?
