Breakthrough - Beautiful!
- By Eighteen pages in and this quote from the textbook resonates infallibly with me: “we should adopt the blameless message and tell cancer patients with love: It is not your fault.” Historical elements of the history of cancer bring unique insights that I was not aware of – use of arsenic to treat cancer in the 1500s. Brutal honesty within the textbook highlighting hardships not only for the patients go through but the staff too, and their psychology. Majority of textbooks you just have the science, but with this you have the heart, too! And the patients at the centre with the stories and analogies you’re pulling into the science, as well! It’s amazing!! Highly recommend! on 13-01-24
