The author’s text is interesting, and the concepts that Keane introduces are certainly appealing. At times, the language can become a bit convoluted or even difficult to understand, but that also speaks to the difficult nature of the idea that Keane is discussing. Because this is something that may be wholly unfamiliar to some readers, there is some work to be done to understand how, exactly, Keane encourages us to use our subconscious as a database of ideas to lend to our conscious imagination.

What's Next, by Geoffrey Keane, is a science fiction novel with a setting of 1,000 years into the future. The author projects that eventually, many of us will have our own personal android servant; manufactured from synthetic bone, muscle, and skin; having a computer for a brain; and this, he also projects, will exponentially change the degree and intensity to which we will interact, and receive much greater assistance from the computer technology of the distant future. How many years do you imagine life expectancy will expand to, many generations from now?

Following the interpersonal adventures of Nora, her first boyfriend, and her cousin Steven, Three Lovers offers a good perspective on romantic and sexual relationships (with nothing graphic), and it is also a study on philosophy in that regard. Far beyond this, it is a fun, sexy, and exciting dramatic story of how complications can develop when multiple lovers become entwined.
