Being a woman in this highly male-dominated world is exhausting. It’s because women like you devote a lot of time and energy in maintaining relationships with others. You fulfill so many roles daily, it’s easy for you to lose yourselves in the process. This is a problem that many women like you face today. You lose yourselves in the roles and responsibilities that you fulfill. You constantly give so much of yourself that you easily become emotionally exhausted and burnt-out. You start losing time for yourself, then your self-esteem slowly shrinks.

Some are brand-new and ready for the world, whereas some are old and kept in closets and only worn in the privacy of homes. I have experienced four “near-death experiences” in this lifetime on Earth. The story begins at the end of my life in 2017 and recounts my history as a child abandoned by my mother, raised by a nanny during the 1950s. This book is a compilation of many little stories. Some are funny, some are observations, and some are pieces of everyday life and events, but all have a tie to a biblical teaching that shows how God moves in our lives and those around us in the big moments and the small moments of every day. You will find hope and God's grace throughout this work.

A Life Long Spiritual Walk as a Friend of Bill W. is a tribute to her formative years, being around her grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, mom and dad, and all her loving animals. She has Native roots in Canada with the Blood tribe and in Montana with the Blackfeet tribe, all of which contribute to the woman she is. She attributes the beginnings of her walk to being led to the doors of Alcoholics Anonymous on her most vulnerable and most teachable day, that being the day she began to hear for the first time in a long time. The rest of the journey speaks for itself.

The decision to write this book was driven by a dual compulsion that compelled me in two directions. The process of the work I worked through to create an environment in which women were being held to ransom made me realize that I needed to examine what was wrong with women in our society and what we were doing wrong to create what everyone was doing right.
