We live in a time between stories, poised between utopia and dystopia, facing unprecedented existential risks that threaten humanity. Only a new Story of shared global value will allow us to respond effectively to our shared global challenges and turn our potentially dire fate into a new collective date with destiny.

In this time between worlds and time between stories, we cross over together. In response to the meta-crisis and the potential death of humanity or the death of our humanity, we must cross over from Homo sapiens to Homo amor. This audiobook is compiled from lightly edited transcriptions from The Crossing, an event originally initiated and taught by Dr. Gafni, and organized and facilitated by James Bampfield. The Crossing took place in Holland in 2024. The larger context for the Crossing was a series of more than thirty Wisdom School and Mystery School events led by Dr.

We live in a world of outrageous pain. Postmodernity—with its correct critique of pre-modernity's often fundamentalist and dogmatic stories about value—has deconstructed value and said value is not real. At the same time, regressive religious fundamentalism is on the rise all through the world. Fundamentalism, like post-modernism, says there is no universal Field of Value. Instead, it claims that value is mediated only through its particular prism of revelation. Outrageous pain is caused when we fail to recognize that we are all in a shared Field of Value.

Existential Risk and the Evolution of Love offers a transformative philosophical vision for addressing the crises currently threatening humanity’s survival. At the core of this work is the concept of Existential Risk—a term encompassing the social, environmental, and technological challenges we face today. Marc Gafni proposes a bold response: the creation of a new Story of Value that sparks a Planetary Awakening in Love through the collective power of Unique Self Symphonies.

This book begins with a conversation around public culture. How do we create an evolutionary public space which reflects our desire for a better world? How do we create coherence in a sea of social chaos? How can we move from digital abuse to digital intimacy and transform the internet into an expression of the genuine nervous system of our humanity? This book invites us to explore elements of the necessary digital foundations for an emergent culture of Eros.

In this time between worlds and time between stories, we stand poised between a potential dystopia and an unimaginably beautiful future. Only a new Story of Value as a context for our diversity can change the vector of history towards a possible utopia. Movies are often the channel through which the voice of culture discloses itself. Hidden in the public texts of culture is a movement towards a new human and a new humanity. Understanding the hidden text of She—woven into the fabric of our public stories—is a key part of this new Story of Value.

Homo amor is the answer to the one of the three great questions of CosmoErotic Humanism, Who Am I? Or, Who are We? The evolution of consciousness, which itself is the evolution of love, is rooted in the ever-deepening response to this great question of human identity. Indeed, Homo amor is the next evolutionary step beyond Homo sapiens. Homo amor is a deeper, truer, and more beautiful answer to the question of Who am I, and Who are We.

In this book, Dr Marc Gafni and Barbara Marx Hubbard present a new story of humanity, a new understanding of our intimate relationship to evolution, as well as our intimacies with ourselves and with our circle of beloveds.

We are desperately in need of a new Story—specifically a new Story of Value, an Outrageous Love Story—as a way to meet the outrageous pain of the world. This is the only true response to the current meta-crisis, the amalgamation of interlocking political, educational, spiritual, ecological, and cultural crises that threatens not merely the total disruption of all social systems, but either the death of humanity or the death of our humanity.

Democracy is a monumental achievement in the evolution of consciousness. It is in this time between worlds and time between stories that evolutionary achievement is challenged to evolve once more—for today, democracy is broken in a number of key ways.

In this book, we respond to that question by reclaiming the truth of our identity as Evolution in Person—not as a contrivance or social construction but rather rooted in the best integration of the great interior and exterior sciences. We are not separate selves, but Unique Selves—irreducibly unique expressions of the LoveIntelligence and LoveBeauty that is the initiating and animating Eros of Cosmos, living in us, as us, and through us. An essential part of reclaiming our larger identity is the question of gender identity.

Many insiders in the tech plex are deeply concerned about AI's trajectory—rightly seeing it as existential risk. Dr. Marc Gafni identifies two forms: the potential death of humanity through extinction events, and the potential death of our humanity. We become irrelevant to governance and economics, unneeded as workers, controlled by systems that shape our desires, stripped of genuine choice—heading toward a totalitarian global digital dictatorship. In this monograph, Dr. Marc Gafni offers a multilayered diagnosis of our AI moment—one that far exceeds technological concerns.

We’re in a time between worlds and a time between stories. We are in a postmodern era characterized by the deconstruction of intrinsic value and the deconstruction of the Story of Value. But story is not merely a human construct that is useful for cohering society (as the postmodern zeitgeist suggests). Story is an ontology of Cosmos. Story is a First Principle and First Value of Cosmos. The deepest readings of interior and exterior sciences now demonstrate that Reality is a Story.

We stand at a time between worlds, a time between stories-poised between dystopia and utopia. How we respond will have consequences and reverberations for many generations. First Principles and First Values offers both the most compelling diagnosis and the most effective and indeed joyful response to the looming threat of existential and catastrophic risk.

The Infinity of Intimacy explores “Evolution: The Love Story of the Universe,” which is understood as the evolution of intimacy itself. One example of this evolution of intimacy is the movement from biological family to a deeper, “evolutionary intimacy” that includes but also transcends traditional forms of relationships. Marc Gafni discloses how we can include and transcend the bonds of biology into a greater “evolutionary family”—a space where irreducible Unique Selves recognize one another as part of a larger, cosmic symphony.

The Path of Outrageous Love invites listeners to awaken to a ground-breaking vision of Reality, one where the very fabric of existence is Eros itself—a dynamic, living force of love. In this transformative work, Marc Gafni calls us to recognize that Reality is not merely a fact, but an Outrageous Love Story.

This book is about a Planetary Awakening in Love—the emergence from Homo sapiens to Homo amor, the new human and the new humanity. As humans we are here to articulate and enact a new story for a new humanity, to participate in the evolution of love itself. With practice we can learn to place our attention on the evolutionary impulse that is alive and awake in us, as us, and through us—which calls us to become Evolutionary Lovers.

This book introduces a new grammar of value grounded in First Principles and First Values as the interior structure of the Universe. To live aligned with these principles is to become a post-tragic hero—not the old hero of conquest, but a new, tender, fierce lover of value. The hero is the one who stands for value and is willing to even die for value. The premodern hero is pre-tragic. For him, value is clear. There are no conflicts, there is only one version of value that is right. That version is sourced in direct revelation which takes place only within his native or chosen religion.

This audiobook is a call to reclaim value as real—because the future of the world depends on it. We live in a time between worlds and a time between stories, as the very existence of humanity is threatened by a meta-crisis. The meta-crisis is a series of interlocking social, political, educational, climate and technological crises, that we can all see and feel in our lives.

This audiobook explores the dangers of a broken sensemaking and information ecology in a time between worlds and time between stories. We are faced with two bad alternatives: to blindly dismiss all conspiracy theories or to blindly buy into all their claims. Both are wrong choices.
