I was a lucky child. Not only did I grow up in a loving family in the beautiful countryside of France, but my parents also had a large fireplace. That fireplace was one of the cornerstones of our family. I have never been a person who can find peace, not even in the calm of my own home. When I am alone, all I think about is the life that could be outside and how it’s always better than what I’m experiencing now. There are no distractions from this deep-rooted insecurity that plagues me every night to turn on all the lights and watch TV for hours on end. But when I go to the little waterfall near my house, something changes inside me.
