Adam Harris’s name has just appeared on a top secret list of extraterrestrial origin. Unbeknownst to him, he’s one of a handful of individuals capable of implementing a Save Point, a static moment in time he’s able to revisit over and over upon death. It’s a good thing, too. Brain cancer was turning into a real drag. The government owns the list though, and they’ve wasted no time snapping him up. According to them, he has 13 days in an alien realm to learn as much as he can before the inevitable.

The Headshot Online Box Set is a LitRPG adventure set in a post-apocalyptic virtual world featuring hordes of undead. It's perfect for fans of Daniel Schinhofen, Tao Wong, and C.M. Carney. Headshot has just gone live, and the whole world's playing the new Artificial Reality blockbuster. Unfortunately, unless you can buy your way onto the Survivor's side, you can only participate as a Zombie. Each week, the forces gather to tear each other down to the bone...until, at week’s end, the Apocalypse is reset.

Raze is "just" a lowly Gearblin chained to the quest-giver desk at the worst (and only) arcade in town. And that’s a problem for her. It means that she’s a Non-Participating Citizen, someone who can’t see her stats nor make opposed rolls against Heroes. It’s why her life’s worth less than the vendor trash she doles out. The old-timers swear it didn’t used to be like this; their issues only began once RNGesus went AFK a thousand years ago, leaving the questionably blessed Heroes to conquer everything without consequence.

Now that the litRPG world of the Citadel has chewed Adam up and spat him out, he’s right back at his original Save Point. Are things better? Maybe. Maybe not. For one thing, he's still got brain cancer. For another, he’s in trouble for breaking the rules last time. As punishment, he’ll have to mentor the Colony - an outnumbered race of misfit mushrooms on the losing side of a battle for their home planet.

Ryan’s week of digital mayhem succeeded in he and Sasha bringing Headshot to its knees, crippling the game, and ruining the highly anticipated launch. But Deep Dive is now aware of his interference and will stop at nothing to end his involvement once and for all. They’ve sent in super soldiers with rule-breaking privileges, and Ryan’s locked in the post-apocalyptic world until they extract him by force. Ensnared in the game’s code, his only hope is that he’s now attached to Sasha’s new Headshot character.

If you keep a monster as a pet, don’t lose your grip on the leash...Captured by Deep Dive and broken by the nefarious Desmond, Ryan has become a weapon. Headshot’s developers use him to destroy their competitors, and along the way the enthusiastic gamer almost loses himself in a web of lies, pain and forcible mental resets. Almost. Months have passed. With Sasha off the grid and Ryan a brainwashed recruit, the relaunch of Headshot may finally succeed in its ultimate goal - malicious, unprecedented access to the innermost thoughts of those that play it.
