After putting most matters to rest on the world of Galle Nate and Kiri have been sent to the Wild Realms to improve before their eventual debut in The Heartlands. However The System has interfered with their destination. Opportunities will present themselves. Does Nate have what it takes to seize them or will he fail before he's even really begun?

After an epic battle in Helmfirth, Nate helped defeat the Adventurer's Guild traitors, free the slaves and save Kiri's life—but will it cost him his own? Still navigating his way in this new world, Nate's goal is to learn everything he can and rise up through the levels of the System. To educate himself, he needs to gain access to the Etrua Royal University which will be no easy task, having to compete in a tournament against the most skilled Silver-Ranked Adventurers the Guild has to offer. But the system has other ideas.

With his System Challenge over and a path to learning more about magic and the System he exists within, he is hoping for a quiet year or two during which he can grow. That growth however is drawing attention to him and unknown enemies lurk in the shadows, waiting for the opportunity to pounce.
