Stories of a Volunteeraholic is written from the stories and experiences of one person's volunteer journey over forty years, but none of the projects, programs, or events were done single-handedly. Our country has the opportunity coming out of the pandemic to pivot and embrace working together in new ways and in better ways--if the everyday person chooses to engage in the small ways to prepare for the big ways.

The reason for writing this book is to speak to women and mothers everywhere about the marvelous things I learned about God’s love and minute mercy and care for me and each one of my five beautiful children. My life was exactly where I wanted it. I reached everything that I was working so hard to get, and I was steadily moving forward. Then a nasty controversial pandemic started the landslide that was becoming my new life. I was viewed as an anti-vaxxer and sent home from the hospital with a fever of 104deg and positive for COVID-19 pneumonia. Eventually, both my lungs collapsed, my diaphragm was paralyzed, I had nerve damage and blood clots, and I was on a ventilator. The doctors prepared my family by letting them know that I wouldn't make it through the night.
