Left with few choices after the murder of her father, a young assassin teams up with a brutal alien race to expose an 8,000-year-old plan to destroy Earth. Nothing about Junco’s world is what it seems. She has been trained to kill from the day she was born and her life has been nothing but a long string of secret missions interspersed with long bouts of insanity and insubordination. But now that her father is dead every military faction wants a piece of her. Especially the ruthless alien soldier, Tier, and his team of murderous brothers.

When a stolen device disguised as an old VHS tape threatens the entire planet, two high school burnout employees from a dusty video resale store in Hollywood, Indiana, are Earth’s last (and let’s be honest, worst) hope. The rules are simple: Find the tape. Save the world. Try not to die. With the Nibbarexian Empire’s royal armada orbiting Earth, a cartel on their trail, and a broken friendship weighing them down, Ethan Smith and Cruz Martinez have just three days to fix everything—or watch the world go boom. Alien bounty hunters. Road trips and regrets.

They won the battle. For now. But Junco lost more than she can handle to get that job done. The ancient aliens are returning to Earth and their long-awaited prophecy is about to unfold. Lucan and his army need Junco to do her job if they have any chance of living through the ancient prophecy. They need her to follow directions and focus. But Junco’s friends are dead - some of them at her own hand. Her home is gone, her mind is more unstable than ever, and ghosts from the past are haunting her.
