You have read the book of Acts before, but you have never heard the men who lived it tell the story themselves. For the first eleven chapters PETER tells the story of Acts. Then beginning in chapter thirteen Barnabas tells his part of the story . . . then Silas. Then TIMOTHY, etc. It is as though each man left a diary for you to read. You now have a record of the eye witness account of the first-century events. Acts in First Person is the perfect companion to The Story of My Life . . . as Told by Jesus Christ. The five historical books of the New Testament are all now in first person.

The reason for this book: to bring to us a totally new beginning for the body of Christ. Gene Edwards challenges the long-held evangelical ideal of restoring a so-called "New Testament church" by reconstructing its biblical elements. Edwards argues that the early churches described in the New Testament were not institutional models to replicate but organic, living expressions of Christ—unique, Spirit-led communities that emerged naturally within their cultural contexts.

It happened 1800 years ago. The chaotic arrangement was accepted and later became the only way to arrange Paul's letters. As a result, we cannot know what the New Testament is saying. We have never seen the church of Century One. We do not know what happened in the first Christian century. We have no model of the first-century from which to work.

The Titus Diary is the story behind the letters to the Thessalonian churches. Reading the letters of Paul is often dry, devoid of context and separated from the story which led to the letters being written. In this account of the apostle Paul's second missionary journey, told through the eyes of Titus, listeners accompany Paul as he travels throughout Asia Minor and Greece. They see his struggles, the persecution and the suffering which Paul and Silas endured to bring the gospel into Europe.

Gene Edwards takes you on a journey into God to explore the invisibles. You will discover that the center of God is Christ...at a time before Christ created. Be there with Him before He created. You will discover there is much which Christ did before He created. Watch as He passes farther into the eternals. Here is Christ before angels, Christ even before nothingness, and Christ the One who is all.

A rip roaring, hair raising, edge-of-your-chair saga of the first-century believers. From the day of Pentecost, on through the first seventeen years, every historical figure of that age is there: alive, vivid, believable. The book of Acts is there; ancient history is there; men secular and...
