After decades of planning, the contagion was unleashed, and overnight hundreds of millions died and came back as rampaging, undead monsters. The living that had been lucky enough to survive the first day of carnage, lucky enough to be in the right place, and lucky enough that some of them had the skills to survive soon found out there was much more to worry about than just zombies.

His hands knew how to fight. His fingers knew the ways of war. Gunny, Griz, and the crew have one more mission south of the border, the Traveler is looking to right some wrongs, and Jessie is trapped in a faraway place. The undead hordes are as vicious as ever, and a simple rescue mission gets real complicated real quick. This is the final two-fisted, gas-guzzling, gear-grinding thrill ride of the Zombie Road saga. Prosperity and progress fill the days of the orphaned survivors and their animal companions. The fierce winter and the battle with Gordon and his gang are fading memories - until new friends emerge and old enemies resurface to shatter their fragile existence. They thought they were doing good. They thought the hard part was over. They thought they were the only survivors left in a zombie-ravaged world. They were wrong.

The zombie virus spread like wildfire and by noon, they were alone. Safe inside the fences, a group of school kids are the only survivors. Like the animals, they’ve lived their whole lives being cared for and fed, pampered, and loved. Now, they have to learn from each other how to survive, how to hunt, and how to kill.
