If we serve the same Savior, why are we so divided? Steve Gray opens Galatians 2 to examine the moment Paul confronted Peter for pulling away from Gentile believers. What happened at those two tables raises a question the church still needs to face today: are our traditions bringing us together or keeping us apart?

Steve explores the relationship between Jewish and Gentile believers, shares what he has been studying about the “works of the law,” and challenges the divisions we have come to accept between churches. He asks us to imagine believers across an entire city worshiping together, united in faith without requiring everyone to become culturally identical. It is a call to reconsider what church unity could look like and what we might experience if we came together.

Key Takeaways:

• Embrace the concept of a unified church culture reminiscent of early Christian communities, where differences between Jewish and Gentile believers were harmonized in worship and practice.
• The "works of the law" in scriptural context may refer to traditional rather than divinely ordained practices, making it crucial for believers to differentiate and understand historical traditions versus biblical instructions.
• Contemporary Christian denominations should strive for inclusivity and unity, similar to the first-century church, which could lead to stronger faith communities today.
• Envision future congregations as collaborative spaces for all Christian sects, fostering a shared belief system.
• Revival, as discussed in Gray's book, Revival or Ruin, may be the key to addressing contemporary religious and societal challenges.
