Özet
Time Slips & Past Lives explores strange stories that seem to challenge our ordinary understanding of time, memory, and identity. From people who claim to have stepped briefly into another century, to children who describe memories of lives they never lived, alleged travelers from the future, missing time, déjà vu, mysterious predictions, reincarnation cases, and unexplained encounters across history, each episode begins with a remarkable story and follows the evidence wherever it leads. Through historical records, psychology, science, witness testimony, and careful investigation, the podcast separates what is documented from what is disputed, embellished, misunderstood, or still unexplained. Are these experiences glitches in time, memories without an obvious source, extraordinary coincidences, or something we do not yet fully understand? Time Slips & Past Lives explores the mystery without pretending the mystery is proof.Copyright James Garner Social Sciences
  • The Street That Slipped Into the Fifties
    4 Nov 2026
On a Saturday in July 1996, an off-duty policeman named Frank walked up Bold Street in Liverpool and stepped into the 1950s. The bookshop became a women's clothing shop called Cripps. A van marked Caplan's nearly ran him down. A girl with a modern handbag saw it too. James follows the case through the radio broadcast that made it famous, the callers who confirmed the shop names, and the flood of later reports — and asks the question that matters: can this story be checked? Verdict: the record is too weak. A single anonymous source, filtered through one researcher, with details that drift from telling to telling. Sources: Tom Slemen's Bold Street Zone investigation; Liverpool Echo account; Listverse, Ten Amazing Slips in Time; Kevin Barry, Beatlebone.

  • The White House on the Beach
    3 Nov 2026
Cameron Macaulay was two years old when he started crying for his other mother — on the island of Barra, two hundred miles from Glasgow, a place neither he nor his family had ever visited. He described a white house by the sea, a black and white dog, three toilets, and planes that landed on the beach. Elena follows the case from Glasgow to Barra, where a local historian found the house, a living family member confirmed the dog, and the father Cameron named could not be found in any record. Verdict: unsolved — genuine hits against genuine misses, and a case that refuses to be dismissed or proven. (2013); Channel 5, Extraordinary People: The Boy Who Lived Before (2006).

  • The Ancient Computer Found in a Shipwreck
    2 Nov 2026
In 1900, Greek sponge divers pulled a corroded lump of bronze from a Roman shipwreck off Antikythera. A year later, archaeologist Valerios Stais saw gears inside it. The lump was a hand-cranked computer from the second century BCE — thirty-seven bronze gears that could predict eclipses decades in advance, track the Olympic Games, and model the Moon's irregular orbit. James follows the investigation from Derek de Solla Price's X-rays to the 2006 Nature reconstruction, and asks the real question: not whether the machine is real, but why nothing like it appeared again for fourteen hundred years. Verdict: documented and explained. Sources: Derek de Solla Price, Gears from the Greeks (1974); Antikythera Mechanism Research Project (Mike Edmunds, Tony Freeth), Nature, November 2006; National Archaeological Museum, Athens.
