Ancient texts. Modern events. And some remarkable connections between the two. The Timeline is an ongoing investigation into biblical prophecy, geopolitics, artificial intelligence, and the changing systems shaping our world. We examine original sources, challenge familiar assumptions, and follow the evidence wherever it leads—without predictions disguised as certainty. You don't have to believe the Bible to follow the investigation. Just bring your curiosity. The pieces are on the table. The timeline is still unfolding.Justin Smith Christianity Spirituality
  • Chapter 5 - The Money
    26 Oct 2026

In Chapter Five of THE TIMELINE , we turn to something most of us rarely question: What's the difference between having money and being permitted to use it?

We begin with Canada's 2022 emergency bank freezes and a consequential court ruling years later. Then we uncover something less familiar: an Australian government benefits card that can restrict individual products at checkout, and a real enforcement case involving vehicles remotely disabled over lending errors.

But the investigation doesn't stop with existing financial restrictions.

Central banks are developing new ways to automate international payments. India's digital-rupee experiments explore money restricted by purpose, location, or merchant. Meanwhile, American banks are testing dollar-backed stablecoins as the United States establishes a new regulatory framework for digital payments.

These aren't all the same technology, and they aren't part of one established worldwide control system. But they raise an increasingly important question: Who determines the conditions under which money can be used?

Finally, we return to Revelation 13 and its description of a time when buying and selling become connected to allegiance. What does the ancient text actually say, and how much of what we're seeing today is documented capability rather than prophetic interpretation?

The pieces are on the table. The timeline is still unfolding.

  • Chapter 4 - The Machine, Part 2: The Connection
    22 Oct 2026

In Chapter Four, we move from the technologies being developed to something potentially more consequential: what happens when they begin working together?

Digital identities, biometric systems, government databases, artificial intelligence, automated surveillance, and payment networks are no longer isolated concepts. Many are already operating in the real world, sometimes at an extraordinary scale.

From Singapore and India to European border systems, American police departments, and China's documented restrictions on travel, we examine what these connections actually make possible—and where the evidence challenges some of the more alarming claims circulating online.

Along the way, we encounter police drones responding in under a minute, artificial intelligence acting on behalf of real people, and a troubling case in which authorities deliberately manipulated digital health credentials to prevent citizens from traveling.

The technology is real. The applications are documented. But does that mean a single system of control is emerging?

We return to Revelation 13, distinguish technological capability from prophetic fulfillment, and ask a question that leads directly into our next investigation:

What happens when permission to participate reaches the money itself?

The pieces are on the table. The timeline is still unfolding.

  • Chapter 3 - The Machine, Part 1: The Components
    22 Oct 2026

Artificial intelligence can recognize faces, interpret enormous amounts of information, carry out tasks, and increasingly interact with the physical world. But how much of that technology is already operating outside the laboratory?

In Chapter Three, we investigate the machinery behind modern AI, from government biometric identification and Palantir's analytical systems to humanoid robots working in automobile factories, autonomous AI agents, and governments experimenting with artificial intelligence in public administration.

We also revisit one of Revelation's more unusual descriptions: an image given breath and the ability to speak. Could modern robotics offer an interesting way to understand that ancient imagery, or are we reading today's technology into a passage written nearly two thousand years ago?

The distinction between what's possible, what's already operating, and what remains speculative is central to the investigation.

Because once we understand the individual components, a much bigger question emerges.

What happens when the systems begin talking to one another?

The pieces are on the table. The timeline is still unfolding.
