The Shadow presents “Traffic in Death,” originally broadcast September 25, 1938, and cataloged as episode 53. This Mutual Broadcasting System drama marked the beginning of Blue Coal’s sponsorship of the series.

At Memorial Sanitarium, a string of unexplained hemorrhage deaths prompts Dr. Randolph Lee to seek Lamont Cranston’s help before suspicion becomes public scandal. William Johnstone stars as The Shadow, with Agnes Moorehead as Margo Lane, in a tense medical mystery written by Alonzo Deen Cole.

The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
