Only a small percentage of the 26 million refugees worldwide are enrolled in higher education. The students sharing their stories in this podcast are part of One Refugee, a nonprofit supporting almost 300 scholars of various refugee backgrounds in Utah and Idaho. Tune-in to learn more about their individual struggles, barriers to pursuing higher education, and hopes for the future. She traveled 84 days on foot to arrive in Malaysia. Esther graduated with her bachelor's degree in nursing from Weber State University in 2020, and is now serving others as a traveling nurse.
