A podcast for those who didn’t choose the storm — but chose who they became inside it.

Hosted by visionary creator and poetic author Heidi Hunt, Surviving Changes explores the quiet courage of transformation. Through allegorical storytelling, ritual reflections, and guest conversations, this podcast guides listeners through the invisible thresholds of grief, reinvention, and spiritual disorientation.

Each episode is a lantern. Each story, a gate. Whether you’re rebuilding after betrayal, navigating loss, or simply seeking a more mythic way to live — this is your companion for the pathless path.

You survived the change. Now let’s walk through what it made you.

  • This Is What Surviving Changes Looks Like
    21 Oct 2026

I have not talked to you in a while, so I wanted to drop a quick check-in with a real milestone: I finally submitted two apps to the Google Play Store that I built 100 percent on my own, from the graphics to the publishing steps. If you have ever tried turning a mobile responsive website into something that behaves like a native app, you know the PWA learning curve can feel brutal. I break down what tripped me up, what finally clicked, and why getting through the process once makes everything easier the next time.

We also get into what “expensive” really means in app development. I use my Cabo travel app as an example because it has serious front-end and back-end complexity: travel features like flights and rental cars, cruise itinerary tools, and even warning texts to keep travelers on schedule. I talk about the tourism booking world, why third-party booking systems and widgets can be a headache, and how owning the build gives you control over the user experience and the business model.

Then we go wide with two brand-new releases: a simple Bible Magic Eight Ball that returns scripture based on your question, and the much more complex Apocalypse Early Warning System. That one tracks signals like private plane activity and other global factors, builds a “normal” baseline, and calculates a real-time alert level plus a global stability score, with premium options for deeper stats and text warnings. I also share why I am excited to build next tools like a Grassroots Power Playbook app for local change and an Energy Blueprint app for health tracking.

If any of this sparks an idea, listen through and tell me what you would build first. Subscribe, share the episode with a builder friend, and leave a review so more creators can find it.

  • I’m Building An Apocalypse Early Warning App
    8 Oct 2026

Getting older isn’t the scary part. The scary part is waking up one day and realizing you built a life that looks impressive but feels like hell. I talk through why aging has been unexpectedly fun for me, how it gets easier to drop the creeps, keep the people who deserve you, and stop chasing milestones that never actually made you happy.

From there, I zoom in on simple living and lifestyle design. I’m not chasing the loud version of the American Dream anymore. I want a nice, simple, easy-to-pay-for life, and then I want to spend my time exploring, building things, and growing. That also means being honest about what I won’t do, like the makeup, scripts, and constant promotion cycle. If the work is done, sometimes the smartest move is to let it breathe and move on to the next build.

Then I share what I’m building now: an Apocalypse Early Warning System, inspired by the idea that private jet traffic can tip you off to trouble before the headlines do. The app expands into multiple metrics, a global stability score, clickable plane maps (including some military aircraft), and alerts like push notifications and texts when things look like they’re sliding. And yes, there’s zombie mode, plus a puppy mode when you’ve had enough doom.

If you like practical independence, tech, AI automation, and building a calmer life on purpose, hit subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review telling me what you’re building next.

  • You Can’t Stop The Storm But You Can Find Your Keel
    3 Oct 2026

Somewhere along the way, we all accepted a deal we didn’t fully read: unlimited connection and instant information in exchange for feeling perpetually behind. If you’ve been stuck in that “busy but not grounded” mode, this conversation is your reminder that the chaos outside doesn’t have to become chaos inside. We talk about the quiet crisis of constant notifications, low-grade anxiety, and the creeping sense that your attention is being leased out to everything except your own life.

We get brutally practical about what grounding actually is. No vague platitudes, no magical fixes. Grounding means returning to your center of gravity on purpose, again and again, especially when the world feels like it’s shaking. We use a simple image that sticks: a ship in a storm can’t control the waves, but it can trust its keel, the deep ballast that keeps it upright. From there, we dig into why “internal turbulence is optional” is more than a nice quote, it’s a skill that creates a buffer between an event and your reaction, giving you back clarity, calm communication, and real agency.

You’ll hear specific, real-life tools: a 60-second reset you can do in a meeting or a family argument, a clarity filter for separating true priorities from noisy distractions, small stability rituals that don’t become another chore, and ways to stop absorbing everyone else’s stress. We also share a key mindset shift: even if you can’t fix the whole world today, you can change your relationship to it, starting with one conscious breath and feet on the floor.

If you want more calm, clarity, and control in the middle of modern chaos, listen now, then subscribe, share with a friend who’s overwhelmed, and leave a quick review so more people can find the reset.
