What a week in college volleyball. SMU earned its flowers with a win over Pitt, Pitt answered in a wild rematch, Nebraska swept Wisconsin for its fifth straight win in the series, Oklahoma swept Texas and Vanderbilt picked up the first Top 5 win in program history in just its second season.

Amie Just and Erin Sorensen break down what stood out from a chaotic week before getting into a thoughtful listener question about the gender imbalance in coaching leadership as women’s volleyball continues to grow.

NCAA Director of Championships and Alliances Kristin Fasbender joins for an inside look at how the Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee builds its Top 16, what fans should and shouldn’t take from the midseason reveal, how strength of schedule factors into the process and how much can still change before Selection Sunday. We also talk about the continued growth of the NCAA championship, what’s ahead in San Antonio and where Kristin sees the biggest opportunities for women’s volleyball to keep building momentum.

There’s plenty happening around college volleyball this week and some of the biggest conversations have very little to do with wins and losses.

Our hosts Amie Just and Erin Sorensen break down the disturbing allegations that preceded Tony Graystone’s dismissal at Texas Tech, Stanford’s exhausting ACC travel schedule and what it says about the realities of conference realignment, and the AVCA’s new spring volleyball event (including a fair question from listeners about where the men’s game fits into the conversation).

INTERVIEW: Taylor Landfair and Allie Sczech join us to talk about their next chapter together with the NorCal Rumble, making the jump from college volleyball to the professional game, what they’ve learned since leaving the NCAA and the upcoming MLV Draft.

The first weekend of conference play delivered plenty to talk about. Hosts Amie Just and Erin Sorensen react to the latest top 25, Olivia Babcock and Blaire Bayless announcing their return to Pitt for 2027, Longwood adding women’s volleyball and more from the week that was. Plus, they follow up on last week’s libero conversation: What exactly is the difference between a libero and a defensive specialist?

ESPN’s Madison Fitzpatrick then joins the show to talk about her path from Florida State athlete to broadcaster, what the growth of volleyball looks like from her perspective, covering both volleyball and college football and what has stood out to her about the 2026 season. Madison also sticks around for our favorite things from the week and what we’re watching next.
