Scott is the third-generation owner and steward of one of the oldest machine tool importers / distributors in the United States.
Scott’s story hits a number of hot buttons for me personally. His father, “Clem,” was what I would call a real machine tool man—part of a generation that understood the machines, the customers, and, most importantly, the relationships that built this industry.
Scott’s story gives us an opportunity to follow not only three generations of a family business, but also the history and evolution of the American machine tool industry along the way.
It’s a story about family, machines, relationships, change, and the people who helped build an industry.
