Libby finally reveals what Liberty Station was built to become, and the answers are far larger than anyone around the Taylor table expected. As the station’s extraordinary capabilities unfold, so does the story of the woman who designed much of it—and what she hoped her granddaughter would do with such unimaginable power. What begins as an orientation becomes something far more personal: a lesson about family, legacy, sanctuary, and the difference between giving someone power and deciding how they must use it.

Aboard Liberty Station, the people closest to Libby finally learn how a fifteen-year-old girl became something no human has ever been before. As the story of the Farmhouse Treaty, the Elyrien surrender, and an extraordinary birthday gift unfolds, an even deeper truth emerges about family, legacy, and the future the Volari fought to claim. Libby may now exist on a scale measured in miles and cities, but beneath the impossible technology remains the same girl her family refused to lose—and the first child of a new future no one planned.

With Libby still suspended in stasis, Devoe refuses to accept that every possible answer has already been found. His search leads him away from medical scans and into an unexpected part of Libby’s everyday life, where something seemingly insignificant may contain information no one realized had been preserved. As the Taylor family watches grief slowly give way to cautious hope, a discovery opens a path that did not exist before—and forces Daniel to reconsider an idea he once believed should never be used.
