  • MONDAY MAILTIME: The Loom That Runs For The Dead & The Lodger Who Wants Her Bed Back
    Aug 23 2026

Two listeners. Two hauntings that don't want to scare you — they want you to join them.

Sarah is hoovering the top floor of a converted woollen mill when she hears a loom running in an empty room. She switches off to listen and it stops dead. Then it starts again, louder, right behind her, and the temperature drops so fast she can see her breath. Her supervisor goes quiet: a young woman died at one of the looms in the 1880s.

Then Marcus and his brother renovate an 1850s clapboard house in Portland, Maine, with a music box that plays at dusk and a woman humming inches behind him on a locked-up afternoon. But it's his brother's night that lingers, a weight sitting down on the end of the air mattress, dipping it like a person, then rising when he turned on the light. A seamstress had lived and died there in the 1870s.

Producer Dom unpacks the darker folklore: the "un-ended" bound to the work they never finished, laying the loom for a second pair of hands and the New England "lodger" who keeps her habits, her song, and above all her bed, waiting for the room to empty again.

What happens when the ghost doesn't want you gone… it wants you in its place?

  • AUGUST LISTENER SPECIAL: The Pink Rabbit, The Witch Doctor's Warning & The Voice That Wasn't Mum
    Aug 19 2026

Yvette Fielding is back with five of your strangest, most spine-chilling stories, and this month they range from the eerie to the downright inexplicable.

    • A woman wakes to her mother screaming her name for help… but the house is dark, everyone's asleep, and her mum never calls her Lisa. Was it a mimic?
    • A soldier whose lifetime of terror traces back to one night at age eight, when a six-foot pink rabbit stood outside his window radiating pure evil.
    • A solid, flesh-and-blood old man staring out of a shuttered hotel window in Southampton, who vanished in the space of a single step.
    • A US embassy attaché in Kenya who paid a witch doctor 25 cents for a fortune… and heard a prediction about a deformed child that only made sense five years later.
    • And an events manager alone in a Wolverhampton venue, built on an old prison, chased up a dark staircase by footsteps that broke into a run.

Plus a Fact or Fiction from Nairobi: does the ghost of King George VI walk the deck at Treetops, the lodge where a princess became a queen overnight?

  • MONDAY MAILTIME: The Drowned Sailor & The Spirit My Grandmother Kept
    Aug 16 2026

Two listeners. Two gentle hauntings. And the old folklore that reveals what they really were.

Gemma's 1880s terrace near Whitby Abbey came with a presence they called the Captain: pipe tobacco by the window, wardrobe doors opening slow and deliberate like someone choosing what to wear, keys vanishing for a week. Then her partner wakes to a dark figure on the end of the bed, back turned. Not frightening, just sad.

Then Danielle's family home in Savannah always "had company," as her grandmother put it. A porch rocking chair that moves on windless nights. An old hymn hummed right beside her in an empty hallway. And the week of the funeral, the chair started up again.

Producer Dom unpacks the darker folklore: the drowned "unhoused" who don't know they've died, and the low-country "kept" spirit - a guardian named and passed down mother to daughter.

What happens when the house wasn't what your grandmother left you… but the company inside it?

I have watched mosted haunted since it started and would LOVE to go on a MH experiance one day. As you listen to Yvettes passion for the paranormal and often mentions things that have happened on the show over the years, it prooves to all those sceptics that they DONT fake things and what they see, hear and feel are very real. Thank you Yvette and Carl and team for helping us understand what MAY happen when we pass to the other side, and also help all of us that have lost our loved ones and that they are well and watching over us. Thank you XX
